GULIKERS, THANKS FOR COMING
It was the last concert in the International Series of the Season 2007 of the Orquesta Sinfónica de Chile and once again it had René Gulikers on stage, this Dutch conductor who mixed in his two programs contemporary works and big symphonies from the standard repertoire.
In both concerts the conscientiousness of his work was evident. Consequently he obtained sonorous results of the best level, showing very clearly his powerful affinity with the contemporary repertoire.
The soloist and the orchestra fulfilled their rolls guided by Gulikers. They did an extraordinary work which got a warm and long applause from the public.

04-09-2006, Gilberto Ponce, Chile EMOL, W. Jeths

The excellent guestconductor René Gulikers left the Orquesta Sinfónica de Chile after exhibiting in three programs the talent that has brought him to the position among the European conductors. The profound study of the works that he faced and the beautiful sound which he obtained of the orchestra are found among the achievements of his visit.
As the expert in music of the 20th century, two of his programs included contemporary premieres. One of the Chilean composer Solovera and this one of the Dutch composer Willem Jeths: the interesting piece "Ombre Cinesi".
With a remarkable attention to each one of the changes, the orchestra obtained a pealing success guided by the expert hand of Gulikers.

19-05-2006, Ilya Ovchinnikov, Russia MOSCOW GAZETE, M. Bogdanov, A. Tchaikovsky

The compositions of our countrymen remembered us to the lost travelers in the trip through the time, and we were very surprised by the talented conductor René Gulikers who did not only find the inspiration in these works, but also shared this inspiration generously with the musicians of the Russian State Orchestra.

10-11-2003, Peter Graven, The Netherlands LIMBURGS DAGBLAD, world premiere of W. Dragstra's opera "Marthe"

For that large, tense arc, of course the conductor René Gulikers is responsible. He leads the sharply playing Doelen Ensemble with clear gestures in an appealing interpretation.

04-10-1999, Heike Eickhoff, Germany WESTFÄLISCHE NACHRICHTEN, world premiere of G. Hajdu's opera "Der Sprung"

.... particularly because of the excellent performance by the musicians, and, above all, the supreme conducting of René Gulikers.

04-10-1999, Dirk Jaehner, Germany MÜNSTERSCHE ZEITUNG, world premiere of G. Hajdu's opera "Der Sprung"

René Gulikers, very familiar with contemporary music, conducted an orchestra of 20 musicians and eight singers with great precision.
